Well we are just wrapping up our last full day in New Zealand. Yesterday Kathy and I spent the day on a large dive boat, me getting in two amazing dives, and kathy doing some great snorkling. We went out to the Poor Knights Islands, and all I can say is wow. We have a few pics that we will get up once we get back to town. We then had a fabulous home cooked meal back at our bed and breakfast.
Today we spent the day leisurely cruising back from tutukaka in the northern part of New Zealand, to Auckland. We did some shopping, spent some time on the beach and playing in the ocean, and even squeezed in a short walk to a great waterfall. All in all a great way to end off our holiday. We both wish that we had more time, but we are both missing our little daughter even more, so we can't wait to get back to the peg.
We've ran into a small family of three twice now over the past 4 days. It is a couple from Germany travelling by bike with their 8 month old son. They've spent the past two months biking from Christchurch to Auckland, with their son riding behind one of the bikes in a chariot. And to think people thought we were crazy to travel with our little girl in a motorhome with two great grandparents helping out.
Can't wait to see everyone once we get home.
Dave and Kathy
