Kids Zone at the Forks

Yesterday, Blane took Evelia, Kathy and I out for brunch at the Pancake House. While I don't have any pictures from brunch, I do have some from the new kids park at the Forks.  Evelia is very hit an miss on splash pads, it really seems to depend on the type of mood that she is in.  Some days she seems terrified of the water, and other days she will play in some of the sprinklers.

Here are a few pictures of her before the splash area, she was playing in the front part of a train (tunnel for the engine).  She had lots of fun doing some laps of the tunnel, figured that I needed a few pictures of her in it.

Here are a few pictures of Evelia and Kathy investigating and playing in the water sprouts.  They don't have any overhead water jets at this splash pad, all of the water comes froms metal jets on the ground.  Some shout the water up a few centimeters to maybe a foot or two, others are much more powerful, shooting a few meters into the air.

Stomping on the water sprouts. Stomp, stomp, stomp.

Getting wet from one of the powerful jets of water.  It causes "rain" to fall all around.  Evelia seems to love "rain" the most.

Here is Evelia getting up close and personal with one of the water jets.

Time for a drink. Luckily this was not one of the powerful water jets, that would have been messy.
